I'd have the rankings (top 8):

1. USA

3. Japan
4. Mexico
5. Germany
6. Austria
7. France
8. Australia

I can see your reasoning at the top, Matt. It's obvious this is a North American-dominated game. However, aside from speculation how did you come up with these rankings?

The challenge at this young stage of international American football is to have an objective way to rank these countries, and unfortunately Canada hasn't sent out an adult squad yet. I expect to see them compete in IFAF WC 2011, and I expect them to do very well.

Also, how did Austria get into the conversation?

by the way, Football has been played in Puerto Rico for many decades now and i am wondering how can we apply for membership to the IFAF or the PAFAF for that matter?

This is my rankings theat I developed on a system of 6 pts. for a first place finish and 1 pt. for a sixthplace finish. I also give each nation an additional 2 pts. for every win. I only use World Cup and World Games in these rankings.

Pos. Team Tot. Points
1 Japan 31
2 Germany 24
3 Sweden 20
4 Mexico 16
5 United States 12
6 France 10
t7 Italy 5
t7 Australia 5
9 South Korea 4
10 Finland 1

Was watching The Ski Channel before I tuned into the World Cup the other day. Good stuff in anyone hasn’t caught this channel yet. Features the same type of non stop action of soccer. Skiing, climbing, kayaking, etc…

the pros can't play, the U.S. would win by 300 points every game

American Samoa crushed Australia the other day you definitely need to add them to your world rankings.
